The concept for this project was to develop a tv short for a cooking channel, either as a tutorial or product advertisement. At the time I was really inspired by Japanese cooking and of course SAMURAI, I found myself drawing Samurai in my sketch book over and over during the making of this project. So the Samurai Sous Chef was idea was born. I liked playing with the idea of perspective, from the start you think "wow those vegetables are huge" but by the end you find out the Samurai was tiny - and in fact he was the product being sold. I enjoyed seeing the drawings come to life and began my journey to becoming a 2D animator.
